Burpees are a great way to unleash your inner athlete!
Doing circuits of Burpees is a full body workout that burns calories, creates dynamic movement and - depending on how many you do - helps with strength and endurance. It also targets the chest, legs and core.
To perform a good Burpee, jump up with straight legs and when you land throw your hands in front of you and drop into a pushup position. Drop your chest to the floor and push up back to a push up position. Finally, jump legs to hands and stand up!
This should all happen in one fluid movement.
A great little Burpee circuit is 3 sets of 10 Burpees to 10 pushups. Set a stop watch and time how long it takes you. Then every time you do the circuit, try and beat your time!
